MEET THE GOD PLACE TEAM
The core team and other associates of The God Place, Inc. are made up of “whoevers.” They are professionals in the fields of ministry, philosophy, arts and sciences, business, health, biblical research, ancient languages and customs, education, administration and health. With these diverse but integrated backgrounds, coupled with a dedicated love for God and people, our team provides powerful and insightful resources to help others on their journey to The God Place.

BOB GASSMAN
Tucson, Arizona
Bio: Bob is the Founder and President of The God Place, Inc. a non-profit organization to promote the things of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Bob has a multifarious background as an ordained minister, missionary, entrepreneur, Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist in private practice, lecturer/faculty member, consultant, published author, musician and composer.
Bob has academic degrees from the Culinary Institute of America, the University of New Haven and has fulfilled post-graduate programs. He also completed a Dietetic Internship at Yale-New Haven Hospital in affiliation with the Yale School of Medicine.
Bob is the father of three daughters; twins, who are both Doctors of Veterinary Medicine and the eldest a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. He and his wife Kim have been married for over 40 years and live near Tucson, Arizona.
STEVE CARTER
AURORA, IL
Bio: The common thread of Steve’s diverse background is an aspiration to impact lives by helping people become a better version of themselves. After graduating magna cum laude in Biochemistry from St. Olaf College in Minnesota, Steve began his career in medical research at the Mayo Clinic. He left this path and became an ordained minister with an international ministry dedicated to biblical research, education, and development of grass root ministries in over sixty countries. During this time, Steve served as faculty member at several campuses. Steve is also founder and President of The Carter Group; a relocation consulting firm focused on helping clients maximize the value of this period of radical organizational change by making this a time of transformation for the organizational and employee cultures.
In addition to overseeing his company, Steve completed a PhD in Values Driven Leadership. As a result of his academic work in the field of virtue-based leadership and human flourishing, Steve brings to his industry a unique perspective through which employee well-being is the focus and metric of success for Carter clients.
DONNA CLAYTON
AURORA, IL
Bio: Starting out as a farm girl in Wisconsin, Donna graduated magna cum laude from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Pharmacy. She and her husband then obtained degrees in Theology and served in various cities around the United States.
They returned to the Midwest to be closer to family and Donna enjoyed being a full-time mom for the first few years. After that, she joined the staff at the Illinois Hospital Association, where she has defended hospitals and healthcare professionals for the last 25 years. Donna brings her organizational abilities and other talents to the God Place, Inc. and jumps in wherever she can.
JANET MAGIERA
San Diego, Ca.
Bio: Janet Magiera is an ordained minister and the founder of Light of the Word Ministry, an educational ministry dedicated to teaching and making known the understanding of the Aramaic language, figures of speech and customs of the Bible.
For over 36 years, she has taught in Bible fellowships and churches in the United States and other countries, using the insight from her understanding of the language.
Jan has also authored several topical books on Biblical subjects. In conjunction with the Aramaic Bible Society, she edited footnotes and explanatory remarks for Dr. Lamsa’s book, Gospel Light. These and other materials are described on the Light of the Word Ministry website.
KIM GASSMAN
Tucson, Arizona
Bio: Kim is the wife of Bob Gassman and happily married for over 40 years. She is talented in many administrative areas and helps with the day to day business of The God Place, Inc.
Her desire has always been to work with young people, and she has been involved with a number of youth fellowships. After receiving a BFA in Graphic design and a Master of Education in learning technology, she returned to school to obtain her teaching certification. In 2001 she fulfilled her goal of working with young people by becoming a high school teacher and continues to teach in Tucson, Arizona.
She is the mother of 3 lovely daughters and lives with her husband Bob in the Tucson area.
